Former Leeds United captain Liam Cooper has expressed a Strong desire to return to his former club.

After leaving Leeds in September 2024 following a decade-long tenure, Cooper joined Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia. During his time with CSKA Sofia, he has made a significant impact, helping the team move away from the relegation zone.

Cooper returned to Elland Road as a special guest for Leeds United’s match against Blackburn Rovers on January 1, 2025, where he was presented to the fans at half-time. Following this visit, he expressed gratitude for the warm reception and indicated his ambition to return to Leeds United in a more permanent capacity in the future.

While Cooper’s current contract with CSKA Sofia continues, his statements suggest a strong affinity for Leeds United and a hope to be part of the club again down the line
