As Leeds United’s senior side continue to wrestle with their goalscoring woes in the Premier League, academy prodigy Harry Gray sent another timely reminder to Daniel Farke of his natural striking instincts.
Gray was the standout performer for Leeds United’s Under-21s in their latest outing, finding the net with trademark composure and leading the line with maturity beyond his years. His finishing touch, movement, and constant threat in the box proved decisive as the young Whites cruised to victory.
With the first team short on firepower and struggling to convert chances, Gray’s prolific form at youth level has only increased calls for him to be fast-tracked into senior contention. Daniel Farke has so far kept faith with his senior forwards, but the teenager’s performances are becoming harder to ignore.
For supporters, the question is beginning to shift from if Gray will make his first-team breakthrough this season, to when.
