Leeds United predicted line-up vs Arsenal with Daniel Farke set to unleash £12m summer signing

Daniel Farke will have to make one enforced change to his Leeds United starting XI for tomorrow’s trip to Arsenal. Captain Ethan Ampadu faces a spell on the sidelines after picking up a knee injury in their hard-earned win over Everton.

It is a big blow for the Whites as Ampadu was excellent in and out of possession in their Premier League opener. His combative qualities and energy will be sorely missed in the middle of the park over the coming weeks. His setback opens the door ajar for £12m summer signing Sean Longstaff to make his first United start. Farke suggested at his pre-match press conference that Anton Stach is capable of performing the midfield holding role, allowing Longstaff to be deployed in his preferred No 8 positionsAnother potential option available to Farke is Ilia Gruev. However, the Bulgarian international has struggled for regular game time in 2025 and we think Longstaff’s athleticism and ability to contribute at both ends of the pitch could swing things his way.
