Wright joined Coventry City in August 2023 from Turkish club Antalyaspor for a club-record fee of £7.7 million. During his debut season in the Championship, he scored 16 league goals and contributed significantly in cup competitions, including a notable performance in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United.
Standing at 6ft 4in, Wright is recognized for his pace, aerial ability, and finishing skills. His international experience includes representing the United States at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, where he scored in the Round of 16 match against the Netherlands.
