The experienced coach returned to Parkhead in a caretaker role earlier this month following Brendan Rodgers’ surprise departure. While many expected his stay to be brief, O’Neill has now hinted he may remain in charge longer than planned to provide stability during a crucial phase of the season.
“We’ll see how things go,” O’Neill said. “The club knows I’m here to help, and if that means staying a bit longer, then so be it.”
O’Neill’s steady hand has already helped Celtic maintain their position at the top end of the Premiership table, and his potential extended tenure could play a key role in the club’s title ambitions.
