HERE WE GO:Michael Carrick Breaks Silence on West Ham Defeat to Leeds with Brutally Honest MOTD Verdict

Former Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick has delivered a blunt assessment of West Ham United’s performance after their disappointing defeat to Leeds United on Match of the Day.

Carrick, analysing the game in the studio, said the Hammers looked “disjointed, passive, and short of belief”, warning that their current form could drag them into serious relegation danger.

“West Ham didn’t look like a team fighting for their lives,” Carrick remarked. “There was no urgency, no spark, and no sign of leadership. You can’t survive in this league with performances like that.”

The loss has left West Ham hovering dangerously above the Premier League relegation zone, with fans growing increasingly concerned about the club’s lack of direction under pressure.

Unless there’s a rapid turnaround in results and mentality, Carrick believes the Hammers could face the unthinkable — a return to the Championship.
