
Newcastle United have announced Anthony Elanga as their first major signing of the summer transfer window. The forward has cost £55million and joins the club after two seasons at Nottingham Forest.
After missing out on Champions League football with Forest, Elanga will play in the competition next season and be one of Eddie Howe’s key players. “I’m delighted to welcome Anthony to Newcastle United,” Howe said. “He has been a key target for us so I’m delighted to secure him at this early part of pre-season.”Newcastle won’t stop here with their transfer business and other deals are expected to be being worked on.
