Exclusive: Newcastle could now sign Mohammed Kudus at ‘£20m discount’

West Ham are ready to accept a bid of between £65-70million for Newcastle target Mohammed Kudus this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Football Insider revealed on Wednesday (28 May) that Kudus, 24, features high on the shortlist at Newcastle – who are keen to add a new right-winger this summer. The Ghana international has a £85million release clause for Premier League clubs but interested sides will not part with that figure to land the ex-Ajax man.

It is believed West Ham will be forced to sell players to even the score with Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) and give Graham Potter the chance to mould his squad this summer.Sources say the Irons could give Newcastle and other Premier League sides a discount of as much as £20million on Kudus’ release clause.

His stock has dropped in European football after a below-par 2024-25 campaign which saw him score just five goals across all competitions.
