The project also includes a major residential development on the adjacent land, providing over 200 riverside apartments, helping fund the overhaul while transforming the local area. A crucial vote by Nottingham City Council on June 26, 2025, is expected to greenlight the project.
Club officials expressed pride in returning the City Ground to the forefront of English football venues. If approved, construction could begin as early as 2026, with phased work ensuring minimal disruption to home fixtures.
