Rangers midfielder Connor Barron insists the players are already in debt to new manager Danny Rohl after just one game in charge of the club.
The German coach’s tenure got off to a difficult start following the midweek defeat, but Barron believes Rohl’s energy, attention to detail, and fresh tactical ideas have already made a major impression inside the dressing room.
“The gaffer’s been brilliant since he came in,” Barron said. “You can see how much work he’s put in already. The least we can do is repay him with performances on the pitch — we owe him that.”
Rohl, who arrived at Ibrox earlier this week after leaving Sheffield Wednesday, has promised to implement a more brave and aggressive style of football — something Barron says the players are eager to deliver.
“He’s got us playing with intensity, pressing high, and being brave on the ball. It’ll take time, but everyone’s bought in,” the midfielder added.
Rangers will aim to bounce back quickly under their new boss as they turn their focus to domestic action this weekend, determined to show that Rohl’s early influence can translate into results.
