Speaking on Match of the Day, the former Manchester United and England star said Leeds are creating chances but failing to make them count — while defensive lapses continue to cost them valuable points.
“I think for Leeds it’s a bit of a concern,” Rooney said. “All they can do is keep creating chances and hope the forwards will start converting them. But defensively, they’re conceding too many goals as well. They’re in a bad moment right now, and I’m sure they’ll be working hard to get out of it.”
The defeat to Forest further exposed Leeds’ inconsistency, with pressure mounting as they aim to rediscover their rhythm and push for promotion.
Rooney’s assessment highlights a growing sense of urgency around Elland Road, as Farke looks to stabilise his side and deliver results that match their potential.
