EXCLUSIVE NEWS:Davide Ancelotti, currently serving as an assistant coach at Real Madrid, is reportedly nearing a decision regarding the vacant managerial position at Rangers FC.

The 35-year-old, son of renowned coach Carlo Ancelotti, has been in positive discussions with Rangers, with a decision expected by the end of May .

Ancelotti has spent over a decade working alongside his father at top clubs, including Bayern Munich, Napoli, Everton, and Real Madrid. His experience and background in sports science have positioned him as a strong candidate for the Rangers role . Despite interest from other clubs, including Italian side Como, Ancelotti appears inclined to take on the managerial challenge at Ibrox.

Rangers, currently under a U.S.-led takeover, are aiming to appoint a new permanent manager by the end of May. Ancelotti is expected to assist his father with Brazil’s World Cup qualifiers in early June before transitioning to his new role at Rangers .

While Rangers have not confirmed their final decision, Ancelotti remains a strong candidate among others, with club leadership and incoming sporting director Kevin Thelwell overseeing the selection process .
