The 44-year-old, who left Sunderland earlier this year following a brief spell in charge, is now being touted as the favourite to take over at Wycombe Wanderers. Beale, once regarded as one of the brightest young coaches in British football, endured a turbulent period in Scotland after his appointment as Rangers manager in November 2022. He was dismissed less than a year later following a poor run of results. His stint at Sunderland was also short-lived, but despite those setbacks, he remains a highly regarded figure in coaching circles, with links also surfacing to Championship clubs Hull City and Cardiff City.
While there has been no official confirmation from Wycombe, speculation continues to mount that Beale could be handed the reins as the club looks to mount a promotion challenge this season.
