King has found himself down the pecking order at Rangers, behind defenders such as Robin Propper, John Souttar, Leon Balogun, and Clinton Nsiala. This loan move marks his first departure from Rangers in search of regular first-team football.
Queen’s Park currently sits seventh in the Championship after 25 games, 13 points clear of bottom-placed Airdrie but only six points ahead of ninth-placed Dunfermline. The addition of King aims to solidify their defense as they push for a higher league position.
Both clubs finalized the loan deal ahead of Queen’s Park’s upcoming match against Raith Rovers. Rangers’ interim manager, Barry Ferguson, approved the move, expressing hope that King will gain valuable experience and contribute significantly during his loan spell.
