BBC SHOCKING NEWS:Coventry City manager Frank Lampard has surprisingly emerged as a contender for the vacant Rangers managerial position.

The former Chelsea and Everton boss is reportedly being considered among the options to replace Russell Martin, who was dismissed after a disappointing start to the season.

Lampard, who took charge of Coventry earlier this year, has been credited with steadying the Championship side. However, speculation is mounting that the 46-year-old could be tempted by the opportunity to manage at Ibrox, with the lure of European football and the chance to challenge Celtic for domestic honours.

Rangers’ hierarchy are said to be exploring several candidates as they look for a manager capable of restoring stability and success to the club.
