ACCORDING TO BBC SPORT:Ally McCoist Urges Rangers to Consider Derek McInnes and Stephen Robinson for Ibrox Hot Seat

Rangers legend Ally McCoist has called on his former club to give serious consideration to Derek McInnes and Stephen Robinson as potential candidates for the vacant managerial position at Ibrox.

Speaking amid ongoing speculation over who will replace the recently departed boss, McCoist insisted that both managers have earned the right to be in the conversation through their impressive work in Scottish football.

“Derek McInnes knows Scottish football inside out,” McCoist said. “He’s done terrific jobs wherever he’s been and understands what it takes to manage under pressure. Stephen Robinson has also done a remarkable job at St Mirren — he’s built a strong, organised team and shown great consistency.”

McCoist stressed that Rangers’ next appointment must be someone who fully understands the club’s expectations and traditions.

“Whoever takes the job has to get Rangers — the demands, the history, and what it means to the supporters,” he added.

Both McInnes and Robinson are currently managing in the Scottish Premiership, with McInnes leading Hearts and Robinson continuing to impress at St Mirren.

Rangers continue their search for a new manager after parting ways with their previous boss, with several domestic and international names linked to the post.
