Russell Martin is under serious pressure at Rangers with fans and former players all calling for him to be dismissed.
Fans at Ibrox chanted for Martin to get out as Rangers were beaten by Hearts, and many expected that he would be sacked by the end of the weekend. However, it since emerged that Rangers are planning for Martin to continue, with the manager set to take charge of their game against Hibernian next weekend.
Pressure is growing on the Rangers hierarchy to make a ruthless decision over the under-fire manager, and Chairman Andrew Cavenagh has now held crisis talks with Martin.Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises completed a takeover of Rangers in the summer, and while they have delivered on their promised investment, results have gotten worse.
