Rangers told they can get ‘£15m midfielder’ for a fraction of the price this summer
Rangers director Nils Koppen has promised to shop local as the Ibrox side look to rebuild after years of transfer missteps.
The Gers squad is bloated with overpaid under-performers who have failed to deliver on the expectations of a frustrated Rangers support.
Koppen has a 14-point transfer plan at Ibrox which focuses on buying low and selling high but as part of that model Rangers want the Scottish Premiership’s best homegrown talent.
Connor Barron joined the Gers from Aberdeen in the summer and Lyall Cameron will follow suit from Dundee come the end of the season.
But now Rangers have been told they could sign a £15m player for a fraction of the price if they’ll willing to stump up for Scottish football’s hottest property.

Lennon Miller branded a £15m player
Lennon Miller is a generational talent who is making big headlines at Motherwell after breaking through into the Fir Park side last season.
Still only 18-years-old, Miller is a fixture of the Steelmen’s side and will be a key component of new manager Michael Wimmer’s plan in North Lanarkshire.
But Motherwell face a stiff test to keep hold of Lennon Miller with interest reported from Rangers, Celtic and even Premier League giants Liverpool.

Motherwell even rejected a deadline busting £2.5m bid for Lennon Miller from Belgian side USG in the summer.
Michael Stewart that figure is a fraction of Lennon Miller’s actual worth, with the outspoken pundit branding the young Scotland hopeful a £15m player.
“If you’re looking at it objectively, Lennon Miller, the age, the profile, the type of player, all those sorts of things,” Stewart told Premier Sports.
”There’s no question in mind he’s comparative with players down south for £14m, £15m. Seriously.
”But it’s like the housing market. If you take a cracking house that’s not on the most attractive street, there’s a ceiling price.
”You move it on to a different street, the same house on a different street, all of a sudden through the roof.
”That’s what happens with Scottish football unfortunately, there’s a ceiling that people are not willing to go beyond.”
Rangers could pay fraction of Miller’s valuation
Former Rangers defender Alan Hutton reckons that Motherwell will be looking for as much as £6m for Lennon Miller could clubs show interest this summer.
Hutton has also urged Motherwell to put in a sell-on clause in the player’s contract to ensure they bank big on any future transfer.
Michael Stewart agrees and whilst he rates Lennon Miller as a £15m player, the former Hearts midfielder reckons Motherwell will probably deal at less than a third of that fee.
”I think a sell-on clause is guaranteed stick on, they will get that.
”I’m not sure they’ll get five or six unfortunately but I think it might be slightly lower but with a big sell-on.
”I think it might be around (£4m) eventually with a big sell-on clause.
”We can argue and debate about this all day long. His value is whatever anybody is willing to pay.”
