Leeds United centre-back Pascal Struijk is being linked with a move back to the Netherlands this month, with Feyenoord claimed to have initiated contact.
March is not the time for Leeds to think about transfers, nor entertain any clubs trying to sign their star players for the summer window.
So, when Pascal Struijk is being linked with a move away, the Elland Road hierarchy probably hasn’t even flinched, but it’s still a worry for the fans looking on.

The problem you have when players shine in the Championship, is that clubs playing in Europe are going to try their luck at signing them.
That’s what is happening with Pascal Struijk, one of the Championship’s most consistent and best performers at centre-back, who is reportedly on the radar of Feyenoord in the Netherlands.
According to Football Transfers, the Eredivisie side coached by Robin van Persie have already made contact with Leeds over a move to sign Struijk in 2025.
The issue for Feyenoord or anyone is that Leeds have reportedly slapped a £25million price tag on the Dutchman’s back, who is contracted until the summer of 2027.

On face value, it would seem very odd for the stand-in captain of the side sitting top of the Championship to flirt with other clubs as he looks to lead Leeds back to the Premier League.
It appears even more out of place when you consider what Struijk has previously said about his career ambitions, and how the Premier League weighs quite heavily into his aspirations, having left Ajax’s academy to join Leeds as a teenager:
“I was a bit nervous to play in my first Premier League game,” Struijk told LUFC back in May 2021. “I had to pull myself together for the game and make sure I was there and especially just enjoy the moment.
“I don’t know how many times I’m going to play here, I hope a lot, but enjoy the moment, see how they are, see what level they are, try 100 per cent and try to be better than them. I still remember the day like it was yesterday.
“It’s just nice to play against this kind of level, and these world class players. The only thing I can do is enjoy it, and take it home with me.
“Since I was younger I always wanted to play in the best league in the world, and I have to say, I think that is the Premier League. The standard is so high, every team is good, so, ever since I was a young boy really I wanted to play here.”
