Portsmouth manager John Mousinho had expressed strong confidence that the club could secure the return of talented midfielder Freddie Potts to Fratton Park following his impressive loan spell.

Potts, who joined Pompey on loan from West Ham United for the 2023–24 season, became an integral part of the squad, showcasing maturity beyond his years and delivering consistent performances in the heart of midfield.

Mousinho has publicly praised the 20-year-old’s development, leadership qualities, and tactical intelligence, believing that Potts was instrumental in Portsmouth’s strong campaign. His ability to dictate the tempo, break up opposition attacks, and contribute going forward made him a fan favourite.
