The Hammers are in advanced talks with Monaco over a €20m deal for Soungoutou Magassa, the highly rated 20-year-old midfielder who has been one of Ligue 1’s standout young talents. Known for his defensive awareness and composure on the ball, Magassa is seen as a long-term solution in the holding role.
West Ham have also explored the possibility of signing Yves Bissouma from Tottenham, with the Mali international potentially available after slipping down the pecking order under Thomas Frank. His Premier League experience and strong ball-winning ability make him an attractive option.
Meanwhile, the club have rejected an approach from Everton for Tomas Souček, underlining his importance to Lopetegui’s plans despite ongoing recruitment.
