While Bowen is known for his charitable involvement, such as participating in community initiatives through West Ham United’s Foundation, there is no public record of a donation of this magnitude.
In contrast, Nigerian musician Davido has made significant contributions to orphanages across Nigeria. In November 2021, he donated ₦251 million (approximately £450,000) to 292 orphanages as part of his 29th birthday celebration. He raised ₦201 million from fans and added ₦50 million from his personal funds. In subsequent years, he continued this tradition, donating ₦237 million in July 2023 and ₦300 million in February 2024 to orphanages throughout the country.
Additionally, Nigerian senators Solomon Adeola and Opeyemi Bamidele have donated ₦24 million to 13 orphanage homes in Abuja and Nasarawa State for their upkeep. These donations were made through Adeola’s non-governmental organization, CHADASH, dedicated to supporting widows and orphans.
While Jarrod Bowen’s philanthropic activities are commendable, there is no evidence to support the claim of a £20 million donation to children without mothers or childless mothers.
