Newcastle United owners PIF are understood to have been approached by potential new investors to help fund the Magpies’ stadium project.It is believed that various approaches from investors who have an interest in buying equity have come forward to PIF and chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan. PIF have held discussions over offering a possible minority stake, but remain 100% committed to United’s long-term planning, and no deal has been struck yetIt is unclear who the new investors are at this stage, but their approach has been confirmed to Chronicle Live and those talks are believed to be ongoing. It has also been made clear that PIF were always looking for a partner, investor or sponsor to work together with on the stadium project.
