AFTER FEW HOURS AGO:Steven Gerrard Turns Down Rangers Return After London Talks

Steven Gerrard was Rangers’ top choice to take over as manager, but the former Liverpool and Aston Villa boss has decided against making a return to Ibrox. The 44-year-old held two days of talks in London with club representatives but ultimately chose not to pursue a second spell in charge of the Scottish giants.

Gerrard, who guided Rangers to their first Premiership title in a decade during his previous tenure, had been seen as the ideal candidate to steady the club following recent managerial changes. However, discussions reportedly broke down after the two parties failed to reach an agreement on the club’s long-term sporting vision and transfer structure.

Rangers will now turn their attention to alternative candidates as their search for a new manager continues.
